NEMA Aluminum Motors are a practical choice for general-purpose industrial applications where reliable operation, flexible use and efficient integration into machinery are required. Typical applications include pumps, compressors, fans, conveyors, machine tools, petrochemical plants and other three-phase general-purpose applications.
NEMA Cast Iron Motors are built for demanding industrial environments and applications requiring a robust motor construction. The motor series features a NEMA Premium Energy Efficiency Design and is EISA regulation compliant.
For applications requiring enhanced mechanical strength and long-term reliability, NEMA cast iron motors provide a robust configuration with heavy-duty cast iron fan cover, double lip shaft seal protection, tropicalized VPI lap-wound Class H stator, rubber shaft slinger for vertical application and oversized bearings.
The motors are suitable for conveyors, gear reducers and applications requiring Design C torque.
Certain versions are Class 1, Div 2, Groups A, B, C and D certified.
