The MOVICON Highly Flexible Coupling is an elastomer coupling designed for demanding drive systems exposed to high dynamic loads and shock stresses.
Its high torsional flexibility and excellent damping characteristics make it particularly suitable for applications with non‑uniform torque behaviour, periodically excited systems and large shaft misalignment. By effectively reducing vibrations and load peaks, the coupling protects connected components and contributes to extended service life of the entire drivetrain.
The flexible ring is the central functional element and defines the transmission characteristics.
Manufactured from natural rubber reinforced with multiple fabric layers, it provides low torsional stiffness with progressive behaviour and ensures backlash‑free torque transmission. The flexible ring is split into segments and can be replaced radially without moving the motor or driven equipment, significantly reducing maintenance time and downtime.
Available in several sizes, the MOVICON Highly Flexible Coupling can be supplied in shaft‑to‑shaft or flange‑to‑shaft configurations, including fail‑safe designs.
Designed as a functionally interchangeable solution, it can replace flexible couplings from common market competitors, simplifying retrofits and standardization. Versions compliant with API 610 and API 671 are available.
