MOVICON Fluid Coupling

The MOVICON Fluid Coupling is designed for smooth, shock‑free starting of industrial drive systems exposed to high inertia and extreme load conditions.

Operating according to the proven Foettinger principle, torque is transmitted hydrodynamically through fluid circulation, with no mechanical contact between input and output components. This wear‑free power transmission limits starting and maximum torque, providing effective overload protection for the entire drivetrain. Controlled acceleration allows large masses to be started without oversized motors while reducing mechanical stress and energy consumption.

Excellent damping of shock loads and torsional vibrations protects the drive system against load peaks, frequent starts, reversing operation and sudden blockages. At nominal load, the coupling operates with very low slip of approximately 2%, ensuring efficient power transmission.

Designed as a functionally interchangeable solution, the MOVICON Fluid Coupling can replace fluid couplings from common market competitors in new installations and retrofit projects.

Explosion‑protected versions certified according to ATEX 2014/34/EU are available for hazardous environments.
